Birds give you hope for tomorrow and brighten your day with their chirping as they fly from one place to another.
You should also know that they move in pairs, usually a male and a female from the same origin or family.
It is said that over 1,000 bird species are found in this country. Your journey begins with a visit to Jonglei, on the west bank of the Nile River, where you will spend two days bird-watching.
This also includes visiting some tribes in South Sudan.
Day 1:
The first day begins with ensuring that you have all the necessary documents that permit you to travel within the country, especially a passport that must be stamped.
You also need to exchange your money for South Sudanese currency for easy transactions. The time of your arrival will determine whether you have lunch or dinner before finally resting in one of the fancy hotels in Juba.
Day 2:
On this day, you will set off to the booked safari destinations using a domestic flight to Kapoeta, where you will explore the Toposa tribal territory.
Day 3:

For example, women decorate themselves with beads, and men may or may not cover their essential parts.
Overnight: Kieul Hotel.
Day 4:
Cultural tours continue as you travel to Kimatong, visiting the boys’ villages and the Larim people, who will showcase their way of life. A welcoming session is a must, as a sign of love and hospitality.
Overnight: Mobile tents (breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided).
Day 5:
This is a full day spent moving through the entire village. You will end the day in a mobile tent, where you will be served lunch and dinner.
Day 6:
You will drive from Larim to Juba after having a heavy breakfast at around 5:30 to 6:00 AM.
Day 7:
Juba is always a dream come true, with excellent services that make you feel at home. From there, you will continue to Terakeka, where you will arrive in time to observe the Mundari evening activities.
Day 8:
This is a full day with the Mundari, starting at 5:00 AM. You will observe their daily activities, such as milking, grazing, fetching wood, and hunting. Wrestling is also part of their culture, done to create harmony among the people. Later, you will set off for Juba, where you will go bird-watching.
You will have the chance to take photos of different bird species such as the Secretary Bird, Rubus Chatterer, White-Rumped Babbler, Rock Pratincole, Long-Crested Eagle, Marabou Stork, Hooded Vulture, Senegal Thick-Knees, Hoopoe, White-Winged Tern, Abdim’s Stork, and many more. So far, a list of 64 bird species has been identified.
Day 9:
This is a half-day interaction with the Mundari people before heading back to Juba, where you will visit different local markets and historical sites.
Overnight: Choose any hotel of your choice (Royal Palace Hotel, Palm Africa Hotel, Crown Hotel).
Day 10:
This is the departure day. You may wait or leave immediately, depending on your booking. The best season to visit is always between November and April.
